Pre-built teacher account roles
The easiest way to give administrator privileges to another user is to assign pre-built roles. Each role grants one or more privileges that together, allow performing a common business function. For example, one role allows managing user accounts, another role manages groups, another role manages calendars and resources, and so on.
Each user can only been assigned one role. If you need to change the privileges for a user you can do this individually for each user.
Here is a summary of the roles
- Super Administrator: Has full control over the platform
- Careers Advisor: Everything needed to run a careers program without student or teacher account management
- Teacher: For non-careers teachers who need to deliver lessons
- School Administrator: For back-office personnel. They can update the careers website, events and see reporting
- School Leader: Access to reports and student career plan information
- VJE Coordinator: Access to Virtual Job Experience programs
- Custom: Flexibility to set permissions for each user individually
Here's what each role can do:
Super Administrator
Has access to all features in Career Tools, and can manage every aspect of you school's account. There can only be one Super Administrator for each school.

Careers Advisor
The Careers Advisor is the main teacher user account. This role has everything needed to deliver a careers education program but without the system management permissions. This would be used in a school with multiple Careers Advisors.

this role is suited for Principals, Deputy Principals and other school leader who need access to information but not to manage the actual careers program.
