What is Career Copilot?
What kind of changes should I expect?
Minor changes to the teacher and student dashboards will occur as your school goes live with CareerPass Copilot over the next few weeks. Here's what to expect:
Teacher Dashboard
The 'Career Journeys' shortcut tile will be replaced with a 'Reporting' tile. The Career Journeys will instead be accessible via the lefthand menu navigation

Student Dashboard
Students will have access to begin the CareerPass Copilot from the front centre of their dashboard. The Career Plan shortcut tile will be accessible from the Career Toolbox in the header. Instead, students will have shortcuts to 'Wallet' and a fourth shortcut tile to 'Course Search'.

Where does the data come from, how does it works?
- Occupations database – 850+ occupations from O’Net, matched to students using our own algorithm. Future iterations will combine JSA Atlas labour market information.
- AI is used to generate appropriate language, strengths and description in a personalised way.
- The skills forecasting is based on Myer-Briggs Type Indicator.
Can results/plan be downloaded or printed?
Not currently however this is something we will be working on; teachers can still view the results from within the Teacher account.
What happens to the current Career Planner tool?
This will still remain accessible and usable.
Can a student have more than one activated action plan at the same time?
Not yet but this is something that will be able to happen in the future.
Will personally identifiable information (PII) be captured or shared?
PII is not shared with third parties under any circumstances. The Career Copilot does not gather PII.
Can I complete the Career Copilot prior to administering to students?
Yes, impersonate your Demo student account. Please remember to filter by ‘type’ to ‘all students’.
Note: Don't have a Demo Student Account? See here for instructions on how to create a Demo Student Account
Is student information employed to further train your AI models?
Definitely not, We operate on a distinct Microsoft Azure resource and do not participate in the OpenAI data service or any model enhancement contributions. While our platform might gain insights into your content preferences, this data isn't shared with OpenAI or Microsoft Azure.
Is this the same as ChatGPT?
Not exactly. Although we utilise the foundational technology of OpenAI, namely the GPT model, we aren't directly linked to ChatGPT. So, even if ChatGPT isn't permitted in your institution, this product remains accessible.
Are there any third parties involved?
We do not share or sell any data to third parties. Our commitment is to the privacy and security of the users and the institutions we serve. See here for more information about our data security and privacy.
What is the Wallet?
The initial version of wallet is the basis of what's to come, with further functionalities being worked on. The Wallet will:
- Give a holistic view of students’ abilities.
- Demonstrate work, volunteering, and extracurricular experiences and to showcase talents and skills such as design portfolios and auditions.
- Contain a central skills repository to provide verified credentials.
- Be portable, Wallet follows learners throughout their journey. It allows for recognition of learning and skills throughout the entire school to work journey and beyond.
