The interaction feature is designed for you to easily to keep all your student notes in the one place after you have had a discussion with them. You can record interactions with an individual student or a group of students, add keywords and create follow up meetings.
Information to be filled out:

Date: |
Select the date of the interaction by using the calendar. |

Interaction Type: |
Select the type of interaction from the drop down menu. |
|
Student Keywords: |
Optional - Choose from a number of default keywords or you can click "Manage Keywords" to add additional Keywords of your choice |
| Additional Teachers: |
Use the drop down menu to add any additional teachers (optional). Note: only teachers with a Career Tools account will appear in the list. |

Public notes: |
Type any public notes in the text box provided. You can also upload a new file or attach an existing one (from "My documents" in your profile). Note: the notes and files in this section are visible to the student and anyone else you send the interaction to |

Private notes: |
Type any private notes in the text box provided. You can also upload a new file or attach an existing one (from "My documents" in your profile). Note: the notes and files in this section are only visible to you and other teachers at your school - see tip |

Follow up date: |
A calendar will appear for you to select the date and time for a follow up appointment (optional). |

Send an email with interaction details: |
This will send a copy of the interaction to the student. The student's email address will be automatically populated, however, you can remove it by clicking on the 'x'. You can also type the email address of any other person you would like copied in. Note: if you add additional email addresses, press enter/return on your keyboard after typing each one. The email address will turn green to signify it has been entered correctly. |
Tip: Other teachers at your school may have access to your public or private student notes/files, depending on their permission level. Visit our guide to learn how to add or restrict access for other teachers.
