To really harness the power of Career Tools, we recommend adding Student's to your school’s account. Once added, students will have access to all of Career Tools’ amazing features and you will be able to track their progress through the platform, communicate with them, and more.
You have two options when it comes to adding students. The first (and most efficient) method is by uploading a CSV list of all of your students in one go. Otherwise, you can add them manually one-by-one if you have fewer students to upload.

There is a template attached to this help page with an example of how the fields should be filled out. The mandatory columns are:
primary_email
first_name
last name
year_group
Do not edit or remove any of the columns as this will cause the upload to fail. If you don't have the required information for the other columns, simply leave them blank.
When uploading a CSV, the system will flag any records with errors. If it doesn't look right, click on the pink "Start over" button.
Remember to include the correct headings in your template.
Custom group - This will add students to any custom groups that you have made. You will need to create the custom group before uploading students.
Special characters (eg: È, Ñ, Ÿ) in student's details will cause the upload to fail
Please note: We have found common issues with icloud email addresses being used that we are trying to resolve. We recommend not using icloud emails.
