Remember your Career Tools Platform is made up of 3 parts, your:
- School Careers Website
- Teacher Portal
- Student Portal
Written instructions:
Start by going to your School Careers Website.
Both Teachers and Students log in via the Login button at the top right. See the red arrow below on an example Careers Website.
The Student Experience
When Students log in, any time they wish to view the Careers Website without logging out they go to the “Career Toolbox” in the right of the page header and select “School Careers Website” as below.
Students will then be navigated to the Careers Website.
The “Login” button in the top right will now say “Secure Area” as below, so that they can just click on it to return to the student portal without having to log in again.
Teacher Experience
When the teacher logs in, any time they wish to view the Careers Website without logging out they click on the “School Careers Website” link in the top right of the page header as below.
The “Login” button in the top right will now say “Secure Area” as below, so that the teacher can just click on it to return to the teacher portal without having to log in again.
Both Teachers and students can go back and forth as often as they need to.
Teacher’s Navigation Between all Three
Teachers do not need to log into the Student Portal via the School Careers Website as they can impersonate a student via the Teacher Portal. To do this, they:
- Log into their Teacher Account (Portal)
- Click the “Manage Students” tile on their dashboard
- Search for the student they wish to impersonate using the “Search Students” bar
- Next to each students name teachers will see 3 icons. They just Click on the “Impersonate Student” icon, as shown below:
5. It will then take the teacher to that student's account.
When you wish to return to your Teacher Portal click the pink “Stop Impersonating” button in the right of the page header as below.
Note: you can navigate to the Schools Careers Website from either the student or teacher portals just as a student or teacher would.
