Not Getting Emails
If you do not receive emails for:
- account verifications
- or resetting passwords
Then ensure your School IT Department have everything whitelisted and unblocked as per
IT support - How to "whitelist" Career Tools – Career Tools (zendesk.com)
They will understand what this means and what to do.
If using personal email addresses, check your spam/junk folder.
Error - Invalid Username or Password
This will come up if you enter either the wrong email address or password.
What to check and do?
Teacher Primary
In this order:
1. Try again in case of a typo
2. Reset Password
3. Contact Career Tools - via here4you@careertools.com.au
Teacher Secondary
In this order:
1. Try again in case of a typo
2. Reset Password
3. Contact the Primary User to reset you - as per Editing a Teacher's account (Including their permissions)
Students
1. Try again in case of a typo
2. Reset Password
3. Contact the teacher to reset your password - as per Resetting a Student's Password
The teacher should check the students profile to ensure they are using the correct email address.
How do I know if I am a Primary or Secondary User?
There can be more than one Primary User. Primary Teacher Accounts have the ability to add, edit and delete Secondary User Accounts, therefore when they are logged into their Teacher Account, in the top left menu there will be a "Teachers" link that Secondary Users do not have.
